Verrill, a Portland-based law firm, has hired two associate attorneys for its litigation and trial group. Both are based in the firm’s Portland office.
Tyler Hereth has over a decade of extensive courtroom experience in criminal and civil litigation. His practice spans areas including personal injury, premises liability, commercial liability and criminal defense.
Before entering private practice, Hereth served as a public defender and criminal defense attorney. He is also a U.S. Army veteran,
He received his law degree from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland.
Michaela Rice works with clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters.
Before joining Verrill, Rice practiced civil litigation in Rhode Island, representing companies and individuals in various litigation matters, including contract disputes, wrongful death, premise liability and product liability.
She received her law degree from Suffolk University School of Law and her undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire. During law school, she was a student attorney for the Human Rights and Indigenous Peoples Clinic.
