PDT Architects, a Portland architecture and design firm founded more than 40 years ago, has adopted a new name.
The firm’s new name, CHA Architecture, is intended to reinforce the branding of its parent company, CHA Consulting, according to a news release Tuesday. CHA Architecture has already launched its new logo and website.
CHA Consulting Inc. acquired PDT in 2017.
"This branding and alignment with CHA will support our team's approach to serving clients with extensive resources from across all of CHA and throughout CHA's entire geographic footprint,” said Brian Curley, CHA Architecture's president, in the release.
CHA Consulting is a full-service consulting engineering firm, headquartered in Albany, N.Y., and with three dozen offices throughout the United States and Canada. It recently was ranked the 37th-largest design firm in the U.S. by Engineering News Record.
PDT was founded in 1977 as Portland Design Team. The firm, which is at 49 Dartmouth St. in Portland, specializes in sustainable, high-performance buildings in the education, health care, multi-family housing and corporate sectors.
