Portland mayoral candidates' views on business

Fifteen people are running for the job of Portland's mayor. The candidates include business owners, marketing and public relations consultants, a teacher, a fire fighter, a taxi cab driver and a nonprofit director. Their political expertise runs the gamut, from political newbie to former state senator. Mainebiz asked each candidate three questions about how they would stimulate the city's economy. We'll feature their responses to the questions each week leading up to the Nov. 8 election.

Question 1: What is Portland's greatest economic asset and what do you intend to do with it?
