MaineCanDo, a professional network formed to prevent future #MeToo incidents in Maine workplaces, is seeking 200 more responses to its survey of sexual harassment and workplace culture.
The survey, which is being conducted with Pan Atlantic Research, is billed as the first comprehensive survey of its kind in Maine.
Betsy Peters, a founding member of MaineCanDo, said the survey results will be reviewed on April 22 and shared with the public.
“We do plan to publish the results to promote awareness and understanding of the prevalence of attitudes that surround the issue of workforce harassment,” she told Mainebiz by email.
She added that that MaineCanDo and it partner organizations plan to use the results to guide future program development.
Partners include the Maine Technology Institute, the Maine Association of Nonprofits, Coastal Enterprises Inc., the Maine Venture Fund and the Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault.
Survey responses, which are welcome from employers and employees, will be kept confidential, and employee responses will never be matched to their employer.
The data that’s collected is to be aggregated and analyzed at state and county level.
