Sea Dog Brewing Co. expands to New Hampshire

After expanding to Florida last year, Sea Dog Brewing Co. is expected to open its first brew pub in New Hampshire this fall, giving it six locations.

The Bangor Daily News reported that the brew pub, co-owned by Shipyard Brewing Co. founder Fred Forsley and Shipyard brewmaster Alan Pugsley, will open in Conway, N.H., to take advantage of the area’s growing foodie scene, a prime real estate spot and an availability of local food sources.

Sea Dog has pubs in Bangor, Topsham and South Portland, as well as Clearwater and Orlando, Fla.

A Sea Dog Brewing restaurant in Woburn, Mass., that had been opened by unrelated owners under a licensing agreement, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy earlier this month, according to the Boston Business Journal. Other Massachusetts locations have either rebranded or reorganized.
