Sun Media acquires Employment Times

The Employment Times, a weekly tabloid of help-wanted ads, has merged with Sun Media Group, the parent company of the Sun Journal and its eight sister publications.
Founded in Auburn in 1999, the Employment Times distributes its 33,000 copies free via a network of 1,500 newsstands in Maine, seacoast New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. Sun Media Vice President Stephen Costello said the merger gives the company more employment advertising options and the opportunity to expand into new products and services for employers throughout the region, according to a company release. Jeanne Paquette, a founder of Employment Times, will stay on as publisher.
