Sweet Dirt, an Eliot-based cannabis company with four locations in Maine, is letting the good times roll with Provisions, a line of affordable and sustainably grown premium cannabis offerings.
Provisions' pre-rolled joints are packaged in discreet, certified child-resistant, plastic-free, home-compostable tubes. Provisions' flower is packaged in bags manufactured in New England that are also child-resistant, resealable and made with material that can be recycled wherever PE film recycling streams are available. The vape carts, which will be released in March, are sold in boxes made using certified wind power.
The Provisions line builds on the company's commitment to product innovation and working with customers to find and develop the products they want most, according to a Feb. 9 release.
"We hear from our customers that their lives can be complex, intense, and often stressful," said Amanda Abelmann, senior vice president of operations for Sweet Dirt. "Individually and as a society, we will continue to be faced with rapidly changing, unpredictable life circumstances.
"With Provisions, we wanted to bring our adult-use customers a brand that includes a clean product, first and foremost, sustainably packaged and at a discovery price point - empowering customers to continue their personal journey and explore all facets of how they choose to live their lives."
Provisions, billed as "Goods for Good Times," is available at Sweet Dirt's retail stores in Portland, Waterville, Rockland, and Bridgton. The brand will also be available at select adult-use cannabis retailers throughout the state. In December 2022, Sweet Dirt announced it is opening its fourth recreational cannabis store, setting up shop at 305 Main St. in Rockland.
