Looking to get into the world of Maine’s upscale restaurant business but have little capital to fall back on aside from your wit, wisdom and $150? Then you might want to listen up to Eric Agren, the owner of Fuel, a Lewiston eatery specializing in French cuisine.
The Portland Press Herald reports that Agren, a self-described serial entrepreneur, is looking to move onto his next project. To do that, he’s looking to pass off the award winning restaurant at 49 Lisbon St. to the winner of a 300-word essay contest with a $150 nonrefundable entry fee.
In addition to winning the 80-seat restaurant and all of its contents including stoves, recipes and its extensive wine and liquor inventory, the writer of the winning-essay will also be given $20,000 in cash and a two-bedroom, two-bath condo next to Fuel, according to the Press Herald.
The winner will be chosen between Oct. 25 and Nov. 30.
