Thompson’s Point project gets update

Developers have modified the first phase of a project on Portland’s Thompson’s Point, pushing up the construction schedule for a 175,000-square-foot office building and pushing back construction on a previously planned sports complex and parking garage.

The Portland Press Herald reported the city approved a new development plan last week, including the office building for which developers say they’ve secured a large tenant. The paper reported Chris Thompson, a partner in Forefront Partners I, did not disclose the name of that tenant.

That building is now set to be the first completed at Thomspon’s Point, where developers won city approval for a $100 million complex, including a concert hall and hotel and restaurant, last year.
