UMaine picks Maine Natural Gas
Maine Natural Gas, a subsidiary of Iberdrola USA, has secured a five-year agreement with the University of Maine System’s Augusta campus to deliver natural gas to certain facilities, beginning Oct. 1.
The terms of the agreement were not disclosed but it does include an option for the campus to renew its contract for another five years.
The contract announcement comes as Maine Natural Gas and Summit Natural Gas of Maine continue to vie for customers in the Kennebec Valley as both companies expand natural gas infrastructure around Augusta.
