UMaine system enrollment levels off
University of Maine officials confirmed that this year's enrollment figures have stabilized after years of decline.
MPBN reported that system-wide enrollment figures are up around a half a percent this year, with the incoming freshman class up more than 5% from last year.
In early September, university officials projected that this year would stem the tide of annual enrollment declines seen across the university's campuses since 2004.
In a press release, University of Southern Maine officials reported an enrollment increase of 84 students, representing a 1% increase over last year.
