Wood Structures returns with new name, owner

About 30 employees are returning to work after Idaho-based Boise Cascade bought Wood Structures, a truss making company in Biddeford that went bankrupt in March.

The company, which also has a facility in Saco, will be called Boise Structural Solutions, according to news station WCSH 6. It expects to begin manufacturing trusses again on Wednesday.

Frank Paul, former CEO of Wood Structures, told the news station he hopes the new company will have about 75 employees by the end of the year. When Wood Structures closed in March, citing a decline of the housing construction industry, it put 185 employees out of work.
