Woodard & Curran acquires Montana firm
The Portland-based engineering firm Woodard & Curran has acquired the 80-employee engineering and environmental management consulting firm TREC Inc., headquartered in Bozeman, Mont.
Woodard & Curran CEO Doug McKeown said in a press release that the acquisition helps the Maine company expand its reach into the mining, energy and oil and gas markets. McKeown said those markets present opportunities for the company’s work in industrial wastewater, corrective action and operations and management.
The acquisition gives Woodard & Curran more than 700 employees at locations around the country. TREC Inc. will operate as a Woodard & Curran company out of its two locations in Montana and one Wyoming office.
