Workforce Investment Act comment deadline today
Public comments on a revised plan for investing federal Workforce Investment Act funds are due by 5 p.m. today.
The revised plan remains largely the same as a plan submitted in January to redirect more U.S. Department of Labor funds toward state job training in in-demand sectors and to realign Local Workforce Investment Areas with eight Chamber of Commerce regions used by the state's Department of Economic and Community Development and the Office of Tourism.
According to a state press release, anyone who offered public comment on the plan in January must resubmit those comments for consideration in the revised plan.
