Yarmouth-based Town Pride USA opens Pennsylvania site

A wholesale business in Yarmouth that offers “town pride” branded products opened its first franchise in State College, Pa.

Town Pride USA was founded in 2021 by Tamara Moran to offer customized merchandise such as knit sweaters, candles, stationery, drink ware, serve ware and jewelry. 

It started as a wholesale operation that customizes merchandise to reflect a group’s locale or affiliation. Goods are produced or finished in the U.S. by woman- and family-owned makers and can be found in specialty stores in every state as well as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. 

In 2023, Moran opened her first brick-and-mortar retail store at 756 U.S. Route 1 in the Yarmouth Hannaford Plaza.

Wholesale customers include independent gift shops, resorts, colleges, Realtors, nonprofits, state and national parks, museums and historical societies.

Moran’s goal to franchise Town Pride at the direct-to-consumer level will be fulfilled with the opening of Town Pride State College in State College, the city of 40,687 people where Pennsylvania State University is based.

The franchise will offer State College and Pennsylvania branded products, according to a news release.
