In this issue, we honor 11 businesspeople who are changing Maine's economy for the better.
These individuals come from diverse backgrounds, occupations and parts of the state. If there is a single trait they share, it is that they saw an opportunity or an unmet need. And in each case, the Next List honorees pursued their goals with unusual passion, creativity and stick-to-it-ness.
The 2019 Next honorees are in a variety of business sectors, including manufacturing, technology and retail. Others recipients are helping with the effort to bring more people to Maine. In our view, all are helping develop the state's economic future.
You may have seen a few of the honorees featured on the pages of Mainebiz or elsewhere. Other individuals you may be reading about for the first time.
We appreciate the large number of nominations we received this year, many of which were for great candidates. As always at Mainebiz, we are on the lookout for entrepreneurs and fast-growing companies of all kinds.
