Roccy has led the company, working with his brothers Bill and Marc, since 1990. Risbara Bros. Construction has built thousands of homes and apartments in the greater Portland area. It also does commercial, residential and earthwork construction. For the past year, the Risbara team has been integral in The Downs, a redevelopment of part of Scarborough Downs, with housing at different affordability levels and an Innovation Park for business use.
Tim Hebert
Tim Hebert is chairman of STARC Systems and co-owner of Hebert Construction. The idea for STARC Systems came out of work the construction company had done at hospitals. The company manufactures “clean” barriers, protecting the safety of hospital patients and staff. More recently, has adapted the product to hospitals that need germ-free areas to protect COVID-19 patients and hospital staff. In the seven years, STARC Systems has seen rapid growth. It recently moved into a 50,000-square-foot facility at Brunswick Landing.
Jeff Brickman
Jeff Brickman is the CEO of Central Maine Healthcare. Brickman joined CMH in 2016 and at that time the system was losing $2 million to $3 million per month and had two hospitals with 'C' ratings from patient safety Leapfrog. Under his leadership, the system has seen those hospital ratings improve to an 'A' rating, Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute has been named to the nations top 50 heart hospitals, and the hospital system is moving forward with a $38 million cancer center.
Kristen Miale
Kristen Miale has served as the president of Good Shepherd Food Bank since 2012. Under her leadership, Good Shepherd has increased distribution from 12 million pounds per year in 2012 to 30 million pounds today, working with a network of more than 450 nonprofits. In September of 2019, the organization moved into a 40,000-square-foot warehouse in Hampden, a size that accommodates increased food distribution and a location chosen to better serve central, northern and eastern Maine. In recent months, Good Shepherd has increased efforts to get food to families affected by the pandemic, raising additional money and partnering with companies like L.L.Bean, which contributed critical trucking and logistics help.
