The brand used by the state of Maine to market its agricultural products is getting a new look for the first time in nearly two decades. Click here to see for yourself.
The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry introduced the new logo and a new slogan on Jan. 14, as thousands of people were expected to gather for the 79th Maine Agricultural Trades Show in Augusta.
The slogan — “Real Maine" — is a fresh spin on one used since 2001. DACF said the logo is based on extensive research and inspired by the look of passport stamps.

Great logo!
Looks attractive and versatile. Nicely done.
It's clean and clear. Well represents Maine and our values. Love it. Great job.

No it's not an effective logo. Clean & Neat? maybe for the forest industry. Skinny letters and pine trees.... yes, we're the Pine Tree state, but pine is not an agricultural product. Maine is famous for potatoes, broccoli, blueberries, oats, barley... but the last time I ate some nasty pine gum, I found the experience very unsatisfying. Why not a logo with potatoes?.... see www.mainepotatoes.com ... Might as well put a lobster on there.
