Airlines were especially hard hit. American, United and Delta all grounded flights early that morning due to the outage. Travel was delayed at Portland International Jetport and Bangor International Airport.
And there were other ripple effects from the IT snafu. Some city services in Bangor were disrupted, and Maine banks had to deal with operational problems.

Our IT Staff started working on our outage at 2 AM to be sure that our credit union members would not be affected. We were on-line and ready to go with minimal disruption at 9 AM as usual!
