A survey in August asked the leaders of nearly 800 U.S. companies about their return-to-the-office policies.

Roughly two-thirds of the businesses that were polled already require some or all employees to work from the office.

Another 23% of the companies plan to implement a requirement during 2025.

Such mandates gained more attention in September when Amazon CEO Andy Jassy told employees they'll soon have to return to a five-day, in-office work week.
