Casa has served children and adults in Southern Maine since 1979. Our expertise has always been supporting individuals who are both medically fragile and who have other cognitive disabilities.
Intermediate Nursing Facility – Casa’s first home was an eight-bed facility for children in Maine institutions needing to return to neighborhood settings where they originally resided. Today, a state-of-the-art, 16-bed home on the same Scarborough parcel continues to provide exceptional warmth and opportunity for our most medically fragile.
Adult Residential Services – With several homes in Greater Portland, Casa excels at providing small group settings that promote growth and independence. Our model emphasizes community integration and personal growth.
In-Home Support Services – Casa supports adults in their private homes for an ideal blend of care and independence. Often, this arrangement allows them to remain with family, while still receiving crucial services.
Behavioral Health Services – Under the guidance of Master’s-Level Clinicians, Casa offers outpatient counseling, home- and community-based treatment, and serves as a trusted resource under 211 for the state.
In-School Support Services – Casa is proud to support children one-on-one in school settings to help them fully access their education.
Day Treatment Expansion – Day Treatment Expansion – Casa continues to see tremendous success supporting children through certified Behavioral Health Professionals – one-on-one, in public schools and under supervision of Master’s-Level Clinicians. We encourage parents and educators to call (207) 879-6165 for more information on helping children fully access their education.
Community Membership, In-Home Support and Innovative Housing – Casa is known for expertly managing complex needs that necessitate both medical and behavioral supports. Now, honoring our mission to help individuals develop and maintain whole health and fulfilling lives, Casa looks to further develop and innovate its living models to fully support the individual, while leveraging the social and cognitive benefits of group living. We are currently pursuing licensing to offer expanded services to new and existing clients who benefit from additional support in a community setting.
2024 Casa Charity Classic – For three years now, Casa has chosen not to hold this annual event due to COVID-19. Our largest fundraiser has always been a spectacular collection of leaders from the health care, banking and insurance sectors gathering for a day of good golf, great food and exceptional support. Email golf@casamaine.org for more information.
Giving Tuesday – This global movement is an ideal time and way to support Casa on Nov. 28, 2023. Visit casamaine.org/giving to learn more.
Planned Giving – Talk to your tax professional about the many ways to make planned gifts and their benefits to you and Casa.
Event Sponsorships – Put your name in front of businesses from the health care, banking and insurance industries at our events. Email info@casamaine.org to learn more.
Donate a Vehicle – Help Casa continue providing opportunity and community integration by donating a vehicle. We have a need for handicap-accessible and standard vehicles.
In-Kind Donations – We are always delighted to consider donations of medical supplies, durable medical goods and household items. Please call (207) 879-6165 to discuss.
