Internship program: FMI’s Internship Program is a great opportunity for students to participate and gain valuable hands-on experience in a highly technical manufacturing environment. We take pride in offering interns a competitive rate of pay and provide insightful projects during their internship. Our interns will be partnered with a mentor and provided guidance throughout the program to ensure their experience is meaningful to their future career.

Community engagement: At FMI we partner with local organizations to provide opportunities for our teams to volunteer and get involved in our community. We work with United Way on several events throughout the year, and regularly donate to our local food banks. FMI has a partnership with Southern Maine Community College and works with local technical high schools and Veteran agencies to create awareness of our career opportunities. We regularly participate in STEM events to support the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Sustainability: We continue our efforts to decrease our carbon footprint by improving processes and upgrading equipment. Our hazardous waste, emissions, and energy use has improved drastically. We are always looking for ways to increase reusable energy, decrease energy use and improve our sustainability efforts.
