Sustainability: In our nearly 175-year company history, we’ve only experienced two eastern white pine harvest cycles. It takes 80 to 100 years before pine trees are mature, making our business a long-term commitment. Our sawmills run with zero-waste of raw materials, as 100% of the log fiber is utilized. Sawdust by-products from our milling operations are used in place of fossil fuels, and we generate power through turbines, utilizing otherwise wasted steam from our dry kilns. Our team is able to source and supply FSC Certified products, along with building materials that meet the rigorous Living Building Challenge requirements.
