Scholarship program Each year Hunting Dearborn awards three graduating high school seniors the opportunity to earn money while continuing their education. Students accepted into our program will be provided with summer employment and given the opportunity to learn by gaining exposure and hands-on training in the machine tool trade. In the fall, the program would allow the students to continue their education by having Hunting Dearborn pay for up to two-years towards a Machine Tool Degree at one of our local colleges.
Community Engagement: Support for several local groups, schools and charities, including employee on-site blood drives, volunteer firefighter support, and events to raise awareness (food drive, Giving Tree and other community events).
Sustainability: Hunting Dearborn Division is continually improving. Recent projects include an engineered LED lighting system, fuel saving cold start boilers, economizing air handlers, and energy recovery ventilators throughout the shop. To improve upon water consumption, Hunting has its own, bio-reactive, water treatment plant to recycle spray booth wash water. Hunting uses vegetable-based cutting oils whenever possible in the manufacturing process.
