Maine Family Planning (MFP)

2025 Goals

MFP’s five-year strategic goals:

  • Shift funding proportions to be more resilient.

  • Organize an enduring base of support for reproductive health in Maine.

  • Improve and expand services to meet the post-Dobbs moment and the growing needs of a diversity of patients.

  • Support and strengthen MFP’s workforce.

Fundraising Events/Opportunities

  • Sponsor MFP’s Annual Comprehensive Sexuality Conference: Every year we are excited to bring together educators, school nurses, school counselors and a variety of other youth-serving professionals to share new and innovative programming, develop skills and knowledge and provide resources for delivering positive, inclusive sexual health education.

  • Host a special fundraising event to benefit MFP. Design a t-shirt, host a house party, brew a beer – we welcome all ideas!

  • Donate in-kind gifts of service or products

We’re excited to share your story of philanthropy, celebrate your generosity, and share your brand with our community of supporters.

Giving Opportunities

  • Make a monetary contribution through MFP’s website or by mail

  • Become a Reproductive Justice Champion by joining MFP’s scheduled giving program with recurring monthly or quarterly donations.

  • Maximize the impact of your gift by donating stocks and securities

  • Invest in the future of reproductive health care by including MFP in your will or estate plan.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Sign up for our Action Network alerts to stay informed and learn about volunteer opportunities.

  • Become a storyteller to help reduce the stigma surrounding sexual and reproductive health care.

  • Represent MFP at community events. Share information about how to access our services, what services we provide and distribute safer sex supplies directly to community members.

Our volunteers bring different ideas and skills to the table and we’re passionate about finding the right role for everyone. Reach out to us at advocacy@mainefamilyplanning.org to get involved.
