2025 Goals

  • Reach our Capital Campaign goal and complete our program and facility plans. These improvements will enable us to provide STEM educational opportunities to our Maine Community becoming the hub of learning and innovations. The new footprint with flexible spaces lets the museum draw on our expertise, collections and resources to offer students and visitors exciting new programs and learning opportunities.

  • OHTM’s STEM education goal is to have the capability of engaging K-8 students in all 16 Maine counties, either at the museum, on-site at schools or through remote learning. During the 2023/2024 school year OHTM’s STEM educators engaged students in 30 schools in seven Maine counties. Through hands-on and experiential learning activities, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are developed which energize students and expose them to skills that offer the potential for high-paying STEM careers, bolstering Maines future workforce.
