Pihcintu

Pihcintu Multinational Girls Chorus at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston.

2025 Goals

There has been a huge number of new arrivals to the Greater Portland area this year and so we need to increase the capacity of the chorus to provide these new arrivals with the “Pihcintu” experience. This will require expanding our transportation capabilities and support staff.

We have also been asked to produce social media music videos for United Help Ukraine, the New Town Alliance Against Gun Violence and UN Women while also producing a documentary of the chorus.

In addition, in concert with the Maine Education Association, we will identify 10 schools in Maine that would benefit from the Pihcintu experience and bring the chorus to them.

Fundraising Events/Opportunities

In the past we have relied upon grants, concert fees, personal donations and sales of merchandise to support the chorus. That said, we would greatly appreciate the chance to discuss sponsorship, performance and fundraising opportunities with any and all who might be interested.

Giving Opportunities

As we are a very small organization, we do not have the time or staff to devote to an annual appeal. However, we have a donate button at our website (www.pihcintu.org) and would welcome any and all donations in order to support our ever-growing immigrant and refugee population. Con Fullam, Founder/ Executive Director, would be more than happy to meet with any interested parties!

Volunteer Opportunities

Transportation is our greatest challenge and drivers are always needed both for weekly rehearsals that take place on Mondays at 4:30 p.m. at The Root Cellar on Washington Avenue in Portland and on concert dates throughout the year, most of which are on weekends and may require overnight stays.
