R. J. Grondin & Sons is a fourth generation, family-owned earth moving company located in Gorham, Maine. The most important influence on our past and future success here is the quality team that we have continued to build since entering the construction industry in 1959. The high standard of integrity, quality, and dependability set by founders Robert and Philip Grondin continues today, led by current owners Larry Grondin & Sean O’Leary.
Markets/Customers: R.J. Grondin & Sons has successfully completed thousands of projects for a variety of public and private customers including commercial and residential sitework, highway and roadwork, underground utilities and wetland creation projects.
Community Involvement: Community involvement is a longstanding tradition at Grondin. Throughout the past six decades, the company and their team members have contributed time and money to many worthwhile causes including youth organizations, K-12 school systems, multiple Regional Technical Centers, the Community College System and Universities.
Career/job opportunities: Start in an entry level position and stay for your career. Many of our current work force started as a laborer and became supervisors, operators, truck drivers or mechanics. Along with promotion from within, skilled trades people can join our team. Administratively we offer accounting, safety, estimating and project management opportunities.
RJG Apprenticeships: Starting as early as your junior year in high school you can enroll in a paid apprenticeship with the company. Once enrolled in the internship you become part of a hands-on training program that is run through a partnership with the state of Maine and AGC
