Significant professional accomplishments: Passing the Certified Financial Planner exam within four months of giving birth to my now two-year-old daughter, Charlotte. Learning to balance work with parenting and passion projects.
Passion project: I am the varsity field hockey coach at my alma mater, Messalonskee High School. I also chair the steering committee for KV Connect, Waterville’s young professionals’ networking group within the Realize Maine Network.
Audacious goal: To successfully manage a team of comprehensive wealth managers and their support staff. Also, to win a Maine state field hockey championship as a coach.
Favorite quote: Lately, it’s “Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.”
Influential book: “Factfulness,” by Hans Rosling. It’s a quick and thought-provoking read.
Favorite movies/TV shows: “Steel Magnolias” is my favorite tearjerker movie. My TV taste ranges from “Parks and Recreation” to “Mad Men” to rewatching “Grey’s Anatomy.” My husband and I just started “Veep” and we’re loving it.
How do you recharge: In the winter, I escape to Carrabassett Valley with my family for some downhill skiing or simply some relaxation at camp. The energy at Sugarloaf is hard to beat. During the summer, we spend as much time as we can on the lake. I love living in Maine because all four seasons offer opportunities to recharge in nature.
