The view of Bangor's downtown from a pair of future luxury apartments isn't the only sweet thing at a building on 31 Main St. in Bangor that's currently under renovations — by fall, the four-story building will also be home to the newest location of the candy shop, Specialty Sweets.
Renovations are under way at the four-story brick building, which dates to 1851 and has housed a department store and Kapp’s Book and Music Store, according to the Bangor Daily News.
The pair of 1,400-square-foot luxury apartments is the latest addition from the building’s newest owners, Telford Holdings, which purchased the building from its previous owner, Paul Cook, for $300,000 in March, according to the BDN.
“We’ve already got one rented,” Allen and Telford Holdings manager Louie Morrison told the BDN about the apartment units, both of which are still under renovation and are expected to be available for $1,800 per month.
