AG sues Bangor used car dealer

Maine Attorney General Janet Mills has filed a lawsuit against a Bangor-based used car dealer, alleging the company targeted low-income consumers and pressured them to buy shoddy vehicles. The state alleges Glenn A. Geiser Jr. and his dealerships Bangor Car Care Inc., Bumper2Bumper Inc. and My Maine Ride and his dealerships engaged in unfair and deceptive trade practices in selling used cars.

The complaint seeks to bar Geiser from operating or owning used car dealerships in the state. The state is also seeking civil penalties against Geiser upon allegations that his dealerships sold cars that have not passed state inspections and have failed to deliver cars on promised deadlines.
