Bangor Savings Bank is changing public relations consultants, and has gone out of state to find the new one.
The bank — Maine’s largest, with assets of $4.7 billion — is moving its PR account with Lewiston-based Rinck Advertising to the Castle Group, of Boston, according to Rinck PR Manager Kevin Gove.
The transition will occur over the next week, but Castle executives are already serving as PR contacts for Bangor Savings, Gove said in an email Thursday.
Calls to Gove and to Bangor Savings for additional details were not immediately returned.
Rinck provides a range of advertising and marketing communications services, and has about three dozen staffers including several dedicated to PR. The agency has worked with the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Colman’s Mustard and regional McDonald's franchises, among other clients.
Clients of the Castle Group include a range of health care providers, technology companies and academic institutions, most based in Massachusetts. The agency provides PR and event management services and employs 19 people, according to its website.
