BJ's Wholesale Club to open third Maine store
BJ’s Wholesale Club is opening the doors to its third store in Maine on Saturday in Bangor, where the wholesaler has hired 85 employees.
The Bangor Daily News reported that 23 of the 85 full- and part-time jobs were filled by Bangor residents.
BJ’s plans to open the 88,588-square-foot store at 110 Longview Dr. in Bangor for the first time at 9 a.m. Saturday, the paper reported.
And although people must purchase a $50 membership each year in order to shop there, nonmembers will be allowed to tour the store during the grand opening.
The Massachusetts-based wholesaler has 209 stores nationwide, including locations in Portland and Auburn.
