Bond ratings look good

State Treasurer David Lemoine says two Wall Street ratings agencies are expected to reaffirm Maine's bond rating.

Lemoine told the Associated Press that he expects Moody's Investor's Service will reaffirm Maine's rating at Aa3 and Standard & Poor's at AA, with both agencies giving the state a stable outlook.

The reviews come in advance of the planned issuance of $141 million in general obligation bonds on June 1.
