British manufacturer Porvair Filtration Group has doubled its space in Caribou, where it plans to make additional investments and has created new jobs since buying the facility two years ago.
Porvair, which makes filtration equipment for aerospace, nuclear and other industries, said last week that the doubling of its manufacturing and office space in Caribou will enable the company to increase its manufacturing capacity and add new capabilities.
“It is hugely important to Porvair that we remain dedicated to investment into groundbreaking technology and exemplary customer service,” Porvair President Kevin Nelson said in a prepared statement. “This will strengthen our ability to meet the growing demands of customers across a range of industrial sectors.”
The Bangor Daily News reported that the expansion added 9,000-square-feet to its facility. The newspaper said the company has added about six positions to its roughly 40-person workforce since purchasing Chand Eisenmann Metallurgical nearly two years ago.
