Carhartt to open first Maine store
Carhartt, a Dearborn, Mich.-based work apparel company, is planning to open its first company-owned store in Maine.
The company announced this week that its new 3,500-square-foot retail store will open Friday at the Maine Mall at 364 Maine Mall Rd. in South Portland.
“Known for its hardworking waterfront harbors, fishing and farming trades and rail and freight transportation services, South Portland is the perfect home for a rugged brand like Carhartt and we are looking forward to serving this industrious community,” Jamie Millar, vice president of retail at Carhartt, said in a prepared statement.
