CMHC expands partnership with Boston hospital
Central Maine Healthcare in Lewiston is expanding its partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, but details are still being hashed out.
The Sun Journal reported that the two hospitals have agreed to continue its partnership that began five years ago and allows CMHC to receive telemedicine consultations and genetic testing for Maine cancer patientsfrom Massachusetts General Hospital.
The two organizations said the expanded partnership will allow them to work together more closely in fields such as cardiovascular care, emergency services and digestive health. However, they said they are still figuring out how that expanded collaboration will work.
