DeLorme to cut 10 jobs as GPS focus sharpens

Yarmouth-based mapping company DeLorme has laid off 10 people, a move the company says is part of a transition from traditional mapping products to high-tech GPS devices. The company now employs 75 people.

Stiver said sales of the company’s inReach satellite communicator have been strong, but declined to say what percentage the product makes up of total sales.
