Dole recall includes Maine salads
A recall has been issued in 10 states for salads in a bag sold under the Dole American Blend label, including Maine, after the discovery of a possible health risk from listeria monocytogenes.
The Chicago Tribune reported that Maine was listed alongside Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin as states included in the salad recall.
A specific salad sample tested positive for listeria in a random test conducted by Tennessee's agriculture department prompted the recall.
