Downtown Millinocket group shuts down
A group aimed at boosting Millinocket’s downtown has folded.
The Bangor Daily News reported that the Millinocket Downtown Revitalization Committee is ending its efforts because there was a lack of participation. The group’s projects include restoring the downtown gazebo, designing and hanging banners downtown, putting up a welcome sign and launching a welcome center that is open on weekends.
The newspaper said other groups like Our Katahdin and There Ain’t No ‘Mill’ In Ocket are likely to take up the folded group’s work.
