Portland chef Rob Evans launched Duckfat after his restaurant Hugo's got national press. This week, Duckfat made a splash of its own.
The Middle Street sandwich shop is among 10 french fry makers nationwide featured in a CNN Travel best-of list.

Portland is by far the smallest city claiming a spot on CNN's "Best French fries" list, where Duckfat shares space with stops in New York City, San Francisco and Miami among others.
Evans told WCSH6 that the mention outside of food publications is a first for the restaurant.
"A lot of our mentions are within little food circles, Food Network, or the Cooking Channel, so to be on CNN, we're really proud," Evans told the station.
