East Brown Cow and Commonwealth Hotels have appointed Stacy O’Reilly as area general manager for two Portland hotels, the Hyatt Place Portland-Old Port and the Docent’s Collection.
O’Reilly brings over 20 years of industry experience to her new role.
She will oversee the day-to-day operations at East Brown Cow’s hospitality properties in Portland, according to a news release. As area general manager, she will be a member of Commonwealth Hotels’ hospitality management team and be responsible for maintaining quality across both offerings.
Owned and developed by East Brown Cow, Hyatt Place Portland-Old Port is at 433 Fore St. and features an indoor pool, meeting room, café, restaurant and cocktail lounge.
The Docent’s Collection, at 121 Middle St., is a boutique hotel that includes mobile-first amenities associated with a residential rental.
“We’re fast approaching the 10-year anniversary of opening the Hyatt Place Portland-Old Port and looking ahead to the continued expansion of the Docent's Collection in 2024,” said Tim Soley, president and CEO at East Brown Cow.
“Stacy's expertise will help usher these properties into an exciting new chapter as downtown Portland and its historic Old Port continue to grow and attract guests seeking first-class hospitality. Through our continued partnership with Commonwealth, East Brown Cow looks forward to strengthening our commitment to urban excellence in the years ahead.”
Before joining the hospitality properties, O’Reilly served in various hospitality leadership roles, including director of sales and marketing for the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, general manager for the Embassy Suites Akron Canton and general manager for the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn. In addition, she served in various support roles at the Embassy Suites in Portland.
“Hyatt Place Portland-Old Port and the Docent’s Collection are both known for their exceptional service, prime location, and curated interiors,” said O’Reilly. “Through the collective work of our hospitality team, we will continue to raise the bar and provide unparalleled accommodations for every guest."
