Jeff Harris, a Farmington Realtor, was introduced this week as the 2025 president of the Maine Association of Realtors.
Harris, who has been licensed since 2004, is part of the family-owned Harris Real Estate firm, which handles sales in central and western Maine as well as auctions statewide.
He has been a director at the trade association for six years and on the leadership team for three years. He was president of the Kennebec Board of Realtors in 2021 and received that organization's "Realtor of the Year" award in 2021. He is also involved in the National Association of Realtors, working on advocacy issues.
Harris takes over from Paul McKee, who is a Realtor and lead buyer specialist at the Hatcher Group with Keller Williams Realty in Portland.
The Maine Association of Realtors has 6,400 members and is involved in both residential and commercial real estate. It also represents 450 affiliated professionals, including lenders, closing agents, title agents, appraisers, building inspectors and surveyors.
In 2023, Maine’s real estate industry accounted for $17.8 billion in transactions, or 19.5% of Maine’s gross state product.
