Feds, state fine Dragon

Federal and state environmental regulators have fined Dragon Products in Thomaston more than $200,000 for violating the Clean Air Act, among other things.

The Environmental Protection Agency fined Dragon almost $77,500 for violating national emissions standards for hazardous air pollutants and for failing to submit toxic chemical release inventory forms for lead, nickel and other compounds, according to VillageSoup.

The Maine Department of Environmental Protection is also fining Dragon roughly $30,000 and requiring the company spend nearly $120,000 to improve dust containment equipment and practices, the website reported.
