Fire destroys Oakfield cedar company
The company uses excess cedar from Katahdin Cedar Log Homes to build items like window boxes and toys. The cause of the fire was not available, but an inspector from the State Fire Marshal's Office was expected to investigate the scene yesterday, according to the paper.
Katahdin Cedar Log Homes and Cedar Ideas president David Gordon could not be reached by the Daily News, but residents at the scene estimate Cedar Ideas employs approximately 20 people.
