Former Eastland prepares for winter reopening
The former Eastland Park Hotel is scheduled to reopen as the Westin Portland Harborview Hotel in early December, adding 289 guest rooms in the city and becoming the largest hotel in the state.
The Forecaster reported the hotel plans a “soft opening” on Dec. 12 but parties or events won’t be held until the hotel is fully operational in February or March. The reopening marks the completion of a $50 million renovation project and comes before the addition of still more hotel rooms from at least three other projects under way in Portland.
