Former tire warehouse in Gorham gets two new tenants

The former Maine Industrial Tire warehouse at 9 Laurence Drive in Gorham has two new tenants, which have helped fill out the 47,000-square foot building.

Brock Services LLC, a construction services firm, leased 13,843 square feet of the building, owned by 9 Laurence LLC. Greg Hastings of NAI The Dunham Group brokered the lease.

N.E.R. Recycling LLC leased 11,500 square feet of the building, a deal brokered by Hastings and Tom Dunham, SIOR from NAI The Dunham Group.

The other half of the building is occupied by a lumber company. Downes & Reader Hardwood Co. leased 23,876 square feet in the building in December 2016.

The building is now fully leased, said Justin Lamontagne of NAI The Dunham Group. He said the completion of leases for the building also means there is no empty space in the Gorham Industrial park.

The warehouse was built in 1988 and housed Maine Rubber International and GPX International Tire Corp. before it was bought by Maine Industrial Tire. The Wakefield, Mass.-based company, which manufactures off-road tires, closed the warehouse in 2011.
