Harpswell construction firm files for bankruptcy

Potvin Construction Inc. in Harpswell has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, with its owner, Steven Potvin, and former co-owner, Cindy Potvin, also filing separately for personal Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

The Bangor Daily News reported the company filed for bankruptcy on June 30 following a lawsuit from Hancock Lumber that was filed in state court. 

The company listed $81,156 in liabilities, including $23,421 owed to Hancock Lumber. 

In its bankruptcy filing, the company reported 2016 revenues at $719,519, down from $811,085 in 2015.
