Health care leaders to tackle timely topics at June 9 Mainebiz forum

A Mainebiz poll this week finds that 3 of every 4 participating readers are "very" or "somewhat" concerned about the impact of health care issues on Maine businesses.

Some of the state's top health care leaders will gather to discuss and explore those issues at the Mainebiz Health Care Forum in Portland on June 9.

"The State of the State on Maine’s Healthcare" will take on the latest trends, priorities and challenges in an open conversation moderated by Jeanne Lambrew, commissioner of the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. Panelists will be:

  • Dr. Jonathan Harvey, chief medical officer, Martin's Point Health Care
  • Dr. Andrew Mueller, CEO of MaineHealth
  • Charlie Therrien, president of Northern Light Mercy Hospital, and senior vice president, Northern Light Health.

From timely topics such as network participation to future innovations that may revolutionize the health care industry, the forum will tackle a wide range of factors shaping health care in Maine and beyond.

The Mainebiz Health Care Forum is scheduled for Thursday, June 9, from 7:30-9:30 a.m., at Holiday Inn By the Bay, 88 Spring St., Portland. Tickets are $35-$45, and more information and registration is available here.
