SACO — The former China House restaurant at 515 Main St., is now an IHOP after its sale to Auburn Associates LLC.
The new owner, Aziz Eisherif, of New Hampshire, also own IHOPs in Augusta and Auburn.
Don Pilon, the listing and selling agent, said the 4,648-square-foot-building sold for $1 million.
The building, constructed in 2006, seated 145 as the China House and is on 1.64 acres.
The restaurant opened Wednesday.
Eisherif told the Biddeford Journal-Tribune that the location appealed to him because of its proximity to the beach and the high amount of traffic that goes by its U.S. Route 1 location.
Some 26,130 cars a day go by the location, according to the Loopnet listing for the property.
